Wilo acquires EMU Unterwasserpumpen group

By 1 January 2003, the Wilo AG, based in Dortmund, Germany, having effected a turnover of 535 million Euro in 2001 and being one of the market leaders in developing pumps and pump systems for building services engineering, acquires the EMU Unterwasserpumpen group, located in Hof, Germany.

The acquisition will strengthen Wilo’s market position in sectors which boast of very quick economic growth.

KSB Makes One of its Largest Investments Worldwide in Frankenthal

The decision has been made: The production of Eta pumps at KSB’s headquarters will be expanded to become the centre of excellence for the latest generation of electronically controlled pumps in Europe. KSB will be spending around 60 million euros on this over the next five years – one of the largest single investments the company has ever made. KSB will have to do without the funding applied for from the federal government.
